Pakistan reports 27 deaths in last 24 hours by novel coronavirus

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has reported 27 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 973,284. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 22,582 on Sunday. So far 913,203 patients have recovered in the country. Coronavirus positivity rate was recorded 4.09 percent in the country on Sunday.



According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 1,980 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

So far 15,941,609 people have been partially vaccinated for coronavirus in Pakistan; meanwhile during the last 24 hours 341,697 people were administered coronavirus vaccine. So far 3,942,291 people have been completely vaccinated in Pakistan and during the last 24 hours 104,581 people have been vaccinated for coronavirus in whole country. So far 19,883,900 dozes of coronavirus vaccine have been administered in country; meanwhile during the last 24 hours 446,278 coronavirus vaccine dozes were administered in whole country.

The death rate from the coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan is 2.3 percent; meanwhile the number of recovered patients of coronavirus has reached 93.8 percent. During the last 24 hours 908 coronavirus patients were recovered in the country. There are 2,119 critical coronavirus patients present in the country. There are 37,499 active coronavirus cases presenting the country.

According to NCOC, Punjab province has become at first position in number of total reported coronavirus cases, deaths from coronavirus pandemic and recovery of coronavirus patients in the country and Sindh province is on the second position. Meanwhile Sindh province has come on first position in terms of active coronavirus cases in the country. On the other hand Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has come on third position in terms of active coroanvirus cases. There are 1,734 active coronavirus patients present in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. There are 23,350 active coronavirus patients present in Sindh, 8,499 in Punjab, 1,586 active coronavirus in Islamabad, 875 in Balochistan, 816 in Azad Jammu and Jammu and Kashmir and 639 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The percentage of deaths from coronavirus patients in Azad Jammu and Kashmir is 3 percent, in Islamabad 1 percent, Gilgit-Baltistan 2 percent, Balochistan 1 percent, in Punjab 3 percent, in Sindh 2 percent and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 3 percent.

Till now 10,819 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,599 in Sindh, 4,359 in KP, 783 in Islamabad, 594 in Azad Kashmir, 317 in Balochistan, and 111 in GB.

Furthermore 348,085 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 346,360 in Sindh, 139,313 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 83,647 in Islamabad, 27,961 in Balochistan, 21,067 in Azad Kashmir and 6,851 in Gilgit-Baltistan. Pakistan has so far conducted 15,056,787 coronavirus tests and 48,382 in the last 24 hours.

So far 317,411 coronavirus patients have recovered in Sindh, 328,767 coronavirus patients have recovered in Punjab, 133,220 coronavirus patients have recovered in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, 81,278 coronaviurs patients have been recovered in Islamabad, 26,769 coronavirus patients have been recovered in Balochistan, 19,657 coronavirus patients have been recovered in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 6,101 coronavirus patients have been recovered in Gilgit-Baltistan.
